clovis points originally discovered in New Mexico are chipped in exactly the same pattern as Europeans were doing at the time. Later more were discovered in Maryland. This has been known for many years now. Kind of changes the dynamic of who came here first and who conquered and eliminated who first. |

I think there are MANY PEOPLE who came to the American Continents who aren't included in our history books. I'm not surprised to hear humans were here tens of thousands of years ago. I find this sort of thing fascinating. I love prehistoric human studies. Too bad there were computers when I was picking a career. |

Dar, you know exactly what the story is. But I think that time line may be off for what I am thinking. Do you want to address that? If you don't want to here, I would like to hear your thoughts on it as you are far more knowledgeable than I. Louie |

I know that America was also visited by the Romans, I saw a documentary where they were showing the Roman artifacts that had been found. The history of the official history of the world is pretty screwed up while at the same time being aggressively defended by the "establishment". |

I think there were other people here before then--but I WAS alluding to them when I made my comment. Yah, I've seen the Roman stuff, too. Interesting. I think that to presume that people couldn't cross the ocean to the Americas until Columbus is ludicrous. |

They had some pretty big boats/ships fairly early on in history, so it stands to reason someone was there way before Columbus, even if it was totally by accident due to getting blown off course and/or totally lost. |

Check out the masterfully-built and huge Khufu boat built 2500 years before Christ, which they carefully preserved and buried so their Pharoah could use it to traverse the skies with the Sun God Ra. Amazing boat. And we wouldn't have known about the ancient Egyptians' skill in building watercraft if they hadn't been so careful to preserve it 4500 years ago. Imagine what technologies have been lost to time over the millenia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khufu_ship |

I think the ancient Egyptians' view of the skies wasn't that far off from the oceans and rivers. Sounds very Star Trekkish, eh? |
