Does anyone carry a second pistol instead of s spare magazine? Perhaps a mini or two? I carry my Black Widow IWB on my weak side along with Beretta PX4 instead of a spare mag. I do not have a IWB mag carrier yet for the PX4 and I feel as though the 17+1 rounds in the gun is more than enough and carry my BW in case of a terrible malfunction that locks my PX4 up. I also have found myself carrying a mini along with my SP101 (even if I have a speed strip in my back pocket). I do not however, carry my mini, along with my Guardian 380, as I have two spare magazines on me when I carry my Guardian. Just curious! |

Guardian 380 but it is often in my vest coat pocket so I always have my freedom arms mini in my pants pocket in the event that I need to get to my real run. 7 in the Guardian and a spare clip either in a vest pocket or iwb. The mini 22's are so small they disappear into a pocket so why not have one right? |

I like to carry a spare gun regardless of whether or not I have a spare mag or ammo for my primary pistol. The spare is case there is a malfunction with the primary. If you think about it there are many scenarios where you could use the use of your primary weapon. JMHO. Jim |

Absolutely. I will often have an extra magazine, but I like having another gun just in case something breaks. Usually a p-32 in the right waistband and my NAA snubby mag in my left front pocket, ie. a gun available to each hand. If on my own turf and in hot weather, just one, with a good awareness of my "perimeters". |

I usually carry a .38 revolver and a mini for a spare, or back up. Never could find an extra magazine for the .38 LOL |

Yes fairly regularly. I always do when I feel I'm in circumstances that may be riskier than usual, again as others have said either with or without reloads. Having two handguns helps cover a lot of what ifs that could occur in addition to a very fast reload. |

One's enough, if it's big enough, and bad enough! |

I never carry less than two. Mostly I carry three. Two minis and a P3AT. I am big enough that weight don't matter. When wearing a coat, I carry more. A gun is a machine and it can fail, no matter what brand, make, or caliber. I want a backup or two or three or more. |

I usually carry just the one NAA 22 mag. However I carry two guns especially in bear country when a 357 magnum becoms my primary gun. |

Heyjoe, either lazy or not scared enough LOL Generally, I'm happy with one, but have been in places and circumstances where I felt better prepared with two. I always feel it might be possible to get separated from you gun, in a fight, chase, fall or whatever, that's one reason why I like the idea there's another still in a pocket or holster. If someone gets the drop on you and disarms you of your main carry weapon they may not realize you have a small pistol concealed elsewhere. Additionally, I don't necessarily think of one or other as a primary weapon, it might just be which one is easiest to get to in the prevailing circumstances. Sometimes it's easier to casually slip your hand in your pocket and around the grip, than it is to do something similar with the larger gun on your belt, if you are in public and still unsure if your perceived threat is really even that. |

i pretty much only carry a gun in my front pocket these days. when working and got the feeling, i would slip the centennial or bodyguard i was carrying in my jacket pocket and keep the person or persons covered while i was talking to them. they never knew. |

Always. Big believer in the New York reload. Also depends on which is easiest to get to depending on the situation as per Redhawk's stance. |
