Uninsured Cars Off The Road

Recently, the City of Dallas , Texas , passed an ordinance stating that if
a driver is pulled over by law enforcement and is not able to provide
proof of insurance, the car is towed.

To retrieve the car after being impounded, they must show proof of
insurance to have the car released. This has made it easy for the City of
Dallas to remove uninsured cars.

Shortly after the "No Insurance" ordinance was passed, the Dallas impound
lots began to fill up and were full after only nine days. 80 + % of the
impounded cars were driven by illegals.

Not only must they provide proof of insurance to have their car released,
they have to pay for the cost of the tow, a $350 fine, and $20 for every
day their car is kept in the lot.

Accident rates have gone down 47%

Dallas' solution gets uninsured drivers off the road WITHOUT making them show proof of nationality.

Wonder how the ACLU or the Justice Department will get around this one.

Just brings tears to my eyes.

GO Dallas!

Not long ago I had to renew my driver's license. I had to have my birth certificate, it was the one I used all of my life. Had my footprints on the back, the doctor signed it. The nurse signed it. It identified my parents. It was a hospital birth certificate. Well, guess what, it was no good. You know what they wanted? Yes it was the the state issued birth certificate.
So I sent off for the state issued birth certificate, but where did the state get the information from, the hospital of course. So I pay the 35 dollars to get the state issued birth certificate, then I get my driver's license renewed.
To drive a motor vehicle in Missouri, you need regestration, driver's license, and proof of insurance. Legal citizen are put thruogh the hoops and as it may seem illegal's can go their merry way.
Perhaps the city of Dallas thinks different.

Thanks for the info Bud

"And who is the Governor of Texas?"

I hate to point out the obvious here but I HIGHLY doubt that the governor of Texas had anything to do with a law passed by a CITY while he was out campaigning.....

Louie, you obviously have never seen "Hercules goes bananas" it has the distinction of being released under three names. It's simply that good. Starring a young Arnie, YOU CAN'T GET THE UNEDITED VERSION.

So, San Francisco indeed. Two tours of duty there. I know the Los Angeles underground like the back of my hand!

Someone tell the Baconess her answer is "swage," "yes, of course, twice on Sunday," and "sexy librarian." I arrested Destro for operation Fast and Furious. Miss Bacon Salt needs a new boyfriend because I just found out her work visa is expiring. Back to the Ukraine with her? I have a better solution...

Tell The Jugglers that I LOVE them! I hope they love me back.

The Bacon can have maple syrup to go with pancakes! :-)

The Sweet Bacon.

Anyway, I'm expecting blush foul argument due to mind poisoning of my fellows later.

Take care, everyone!

Ps: Did I mention a kid in Springfield with a red herring?

I love the movie with Arnie as Hercules. Very funny. He's got a very tame, almost sophisticated, American voice. No Austrian accent at all. It's kind of hard to watch, tho, because not hearing Arnie's voice is so distracting--proibably just the opposite of why they had his voice dubbed in the first place. LOL.

I think perhaps this is Arnie first real movie.

Ah yeah, love that birth certificate requirement. Here in Oregon they don't cost a huge amount. Buuuut, you can get a certified copy on line. If you know my Dads first and middle names, and my Moms maiden name YOU can get one (of MINE). Don't that just make you feel all warm & fuzzy & more safe & secure?

By the way, I spoke on the phone with someone named Randy once a long time ago. Wonder if he remembers me? :-) 'sup, bro? Mind if I talk to Miss Utah? :-)

...and Miss Greenwood? I enjoyed our date. Miss Bacon? I definitely need to put in an order for some Chong grips now, 1 walnut for hogleg, 1 ribbed black acrylic mini master, 1 clear smooth for .22lr 1 5/8" mini.

Guess I must get up with Mr Vang, Mr Chong, Mr Joe, and whoever else I need to talk to.

Smokin'!

You know, that Miss Bacon cracks me up. I was hanging out with her, Scarlett and Lady J the other day on a road trip. We had to drop Miss Bacon at the coast. Something about her bikini.

Anyway, she was telling me about tang mounted long range folding irons, such as would be on certain classic rifles of the 1800s. She demonstrated knowledge of powder versus consistent velocity in long range buffalo rifles. I was floored when she told me her 1,000 yard buffalo cutout gong score. Not bad, for 1800s technology.

She invited me to go wingsuiting in Norway. She is WILD! Almost like some kind of super heroine! Hunter and I will check it out. Have Rockford check his files on that one, I think he has a thread saved on this one.

So miss bacon took me out to demo 4 NAA pistols. We ended up near the Texas coast, round abouts.

We were popping the minis and long barrel conversions, you wouldn't believe. She's got holster rigs to take the multi cylinders for each revolver.

I asked her for a miniature spencer or sharpes rifle that was actually a pistol, held 5 shots and was chambered in .327. Bonus points for caliper sights marked to 200 yards. She just smiled and gave me that wonderful look.

We got into some pineapple blasting, but not with hot ammo. Fun with rotten produce.

Splattering raw eggs, we made a biodegradable situation. White and yellow crackers made for shoot/no shoot games. A kind of candy called Necco wafers are fun. If you can hit an aspirin, it puffs nicely. Pool chalk cubes and chunks of sidewalk chalk also made for fun blasting up close, just for effect.

We glanced a lot of rounds off of an old stove. There was some old gas tank we popped pretty well. Miss Bacon could even hit that copper tubing!

Shooting old stoves is fun. Try different things. We borrowed ours from Chops. The problem with having your stove shot, is that it really doesn't do much to cast iron, unless you can catch a shatter. Sorry I didn't bring my TMJ and Gamepoints. Your stove is fine. So we covered the stove with plastic cups of gasoline and diesel. All the burnt food is now gone. This is how to properly clean a cast iron stove. We then left salt all over it. That's what you do for cast iron, right?

She's got 4 cylinders for her short. 4 spare.

Wow. This chick is from Utah?

Your stove is on Matagorda Beach. We will pick it up on the way back. Just kidding, I wouldn't hurt a defenseless appliance. :-)
