From CNN, it seems Gingrich's best option comes ONLY if the Republicans LOSE this time around and he gets to run NEXT TIME. Would he really try to sabotage Romney to lose this year, knowing full well that it would harm his party, just so that he could possibly be President in four years?

What do you think?

Gingrich's 3 possible options: http://www.cnn.com/2012/02/06/opinion/frum-gingrich-romney/index.html?hpt=hp_t3

"Option 1: Fight to the bitter end, money or no money.

Option 2: Try to make a deal now, in hope of gaining something in exchange from the Romney campaign -- a speaking slot at the convention, some kind of advisory role in a Romney administration.

Pretty obviously, neither of those options leads anywhere good. Option 1 could rapidly lead to public humiliation, Option 2 to lingering private humiliation.

Which leaves Option 3:

Retire quietly from the field, no deal, and hope that Romney loses in November and that Gingrich can then claim the 'told you so rights of the party elder statesman over the next four years."

Of course, this is CNN, and possibly the are just pushing what THEY hope happens.

Gingrich throws in the towel in his legal challenge to appear on the Virginia ballot. Maybe he's "getting it" finally. Or maybe he's just running out of money for things like this.

If you go to the politics page at CNN.COM, you'll see that CNN is STILL obsessed with Gingrich. Why? Do they still want him to be the Republican candidate?

Consider this page:

http://www.cnn.com/POLITICS/

Right now, there are 3 stories on Gingrich, a number of stories about Obama, a story about Rubio being Mormon (indirect jab at Romney), and a story about Santorum. NOTHING about Romney.

Curious.

Gingrich just got a fresh $10 mil from the casino guy.

He's probably squirreling it away in Swiss bank accounts while pretending to run for office.

Well, maybe because he is pretending to be a Republican. He is a Libertarian, and is the CLASSIC RINO, as he just adopted the Republican NAME ONLY to get onto the ticket and into the debates.

You talk about your fakes................ THERE is one..............

> Why would I think that? He [Ron Paul] has more delegates than anybody except Robotney.

LOL. He does not. Various sites predict different amounts of delegates, but NONE have him second.

RealClear Politics:

Romney 99, Santorum 47, Gingrich 32, Paul 20

Tea Party site:

Romney 123, Santorum 72, Gingrich 32, Paul 19

http://teapartycheer.com/election-info/republican-delegate-count/2012-republican-delegate-count/

CNN:

Romney 106, Santorum 37, Gingrich 35, Paul 27

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2012/03/05/gingrich-romney-cant-close-the-deal/

Gingrich says: Romney can't close the deal with voters because he's dishonest.

Truth: The rules have changed this time around, first, by the Republicans changing their schedule to make the the primaries last longer, because it was too short last year, and secondly, the Super Pacs allow dying candidates to stay in the race and steal votes from "real" candidates, thus prolonging the process even more.

Conclusion: Gingrich himself is a loser in this race and he's helping to make everything worse for ALL Republicans, not just Romney.

Yep, the Grand Old Party has done shit in their nest for this election. They are going to be directly responsible for another four years of Obama.

But, its all in the Grand Plan...

Remember, you read it here first.

Same deal as 4 years of Mitt Roboto. They just tie a new puppet to the same strings.

Or did I miss Romney's promise to repeal ObamneyCare?
Or get rid of the TSA?
Or bring the troops home from illegal wars?
Or arrest Leon Panetta for treason?
Or repeal the NDAA?

How about getting the govt out of it and let the free market work its magic?

Not that I go near doctors anyway, except to get my paycheck LOL.

So, apparently you have to win at least 5 states to be considered for the Republican nominee at a brokered convention? Oops, Gingrich. How you gonna manage that?

Gingrich is now in 4th place behind Ron Paul in the national Gallup poll for Republican Presidential nominee.

http://www.gallup.com/poll/election.aspx

http://content.usatoday.com/communities/onpolitics/post/2012/03/newt-gingrich-gallup-daily-tracking-poll-ron-paul-/1?csp=34news#.T3S8-xB5mSN

And Gingrich's Las Vegas financier, Sheldon Adelson, is done supporting him. No more money for Gingrich's Super PAC.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2012/03/29/sheldon_adelson_on_newt_gingrich_hes_at_the_end_of_his_line.html

And, Sheldon Adelson also says he doesn't want Santorum running our country. Looks like he's moving to support Rommey.

Gingrich admits that Romney will probably get enough delegates to win the nomination. About time. See, Gingrich IS smart--he just hides it behind his ego.

Oh-oh, while the boss has been away, Gingrich's healthcare research business is failing and starting bankruptcy proceedings. That can't be good. Maybe he should petition President Obama for a bailout. I bet he could get one. He's been giving money out to EVERYBODY!

Oh, wait. Obama isn't one of his friends. Well, then nevermind. :-(

Okay, I'm not slamming Gingrich here. Really. He's doing the talking, I'm doing the reporting. But it looks like he's already venturing out into FAR OUT SPACE!

Newt Gingrich said Wednesday that it's still possible for him to win the GOP presidential nomination

This is new: Gingrich now hinges his campaign on Delaware. What? Delaware is now a must-win state for Gingrich?

I think somebody flashed that light thingy into Gingrich's eyes and he forgot the last six months...

This is kind of funny, given what Gingrich has repeatedly said about Romney not yet having enough delegates: Obama still does not have enough delegates to clinch the Demoncratic nomination, either:
