Heya Tim...I'm sorry for ending that Auction. My Mother, of all people, asked to have it for her Mini. Who am I to deny my 67 year old Mother happiness? lol Blitz...The last skeleton buckle to sell on ebay went for $200.00. My reserve is well below that amount and add in my time to polish all the exposed edges. So someone could possibly get a very good deal on each of the skeleton buckles I have listed. Steve and Uncle Lee, will do!! Wish I had a dollar for each person who has messaged me to end the auctions for an outright sale. Only my Mother has that power..lol. If it helps Tim, I had my reserve set at $100.00 for the laser and bayonet, so if you're patient and watch ebay, you can find the lasers for $80.00. |

I'm curious about people who ask to have auctions ended early. Why would they think a seller would do that? Doing this almost always benefits the buyer, not the seller. Just BID on it, for heck sake. That's the whole idea of having an auction. If there's a Buy-it-Now, buy it! If not, wait. Sheesh. |

I'm in agreement with you Dar. After 11 years of selling and having been a power seller at one point, it amazes me how some people act about an item that they want RIGHT NOW! I've been cussed to no end before for not ending an auction. If you like the item, put it on your watch list, set an alarm, do SOMETHING besides harass me for the duration of the auction and snipe it at the end like everyone else does...lol. |

Zipp you only told me after I bought them that they have holes for 9 bullets and the newer ones have ten. Now if I get in a shoot out and come one bullet short I am blaming you. Steve |

I play around on eBay often. I think I have only ended a listing once, and it certainly was not to make a private selling! To end a listing early to sell to a party off eBay is against eBay policy, I think even "asking" an eBayer to end a listing, so they can make the purchase privately is against their policy and penalties such as suspensions can result. EBay is being cheated out of their selling fees when this happens. I have a lifetime score of 100%. I am proud of that, and intend to keep it that way. If you want to stay on eBay, be careful of what you do and say. I bought a picitiny riser block last Tuesday. The guy said in a email reply, that he could "ship today" All of a sudden last night the listing was gone from my account purchases. The guy also said the block was in CA, one state away from me. The block still had not arrived by Monday. Then I noticed in my account that the item was shipped this Monday, 6 days latter! then I noticed it was shipped from Texas! half way across the country, when the listing said the item was in CA. I called eBay, said I couldn't get hold of this guy as the listing did not appear on my "purchases" page. EBay said the listing had been "pulled" for a policy violation, Still havn't got a hold of this guy. so, sorry for the long story, moral is: if you want to play on eBay, play it straight! |

lol.....I talked to Jason about the change and he wasn't sure exactly when or even why it happened. If you have gone through 28 rounds and someone is still standing to shoot you then I'll take the blame and make it my lifes goal to find the assailant and put the two missing rounds in him. If you're not ok with the two missing slots for the rounds I'll be happy to take them back. But I think once you get your hands on them, you'll never want to part with them. The only reason I sold them was because Christmas and my Daughters lists were longer and more expensive than my measly income. Gunr, I've been a power seller and in the 10+ years I've been selling, I have never ended an auction to sell privately and I too have maintained a 100% feedback rating. Flint bid until the end and won the auction in the closing minutes. I was asked a number of times to end the buckle auctions early and that goes against every thing I believe in, ebay or no ebay. I've won auctions where the seller wasn't satisfied with the closing bids and refused me the items. Needless to say, I reported them to Safe Harbor. If I mistakenly list an item that I intended to set a reserve on and it closed well below my investment, then it is a lesson learned on my part and I surely wouldn't repeat that mistake. I'm a strait shooter in life and anyone who isn't satisfied with something I sell them then I will bend over backwards to make it right. Cheers!! |
